party like its 1999

Went out last night with the boyf. & some friends. The bar was out of Jack Daniels.
Needless to say I was left with Kentucky Whiskey....blech.
I've been finding I have been dressing down so much more recently
when I go out. Last night was black skinny Levi's jeans, Vintage black
leather boots, a blousey Forever21 top, and my vintage black Ferragamo bag.
And of course I paired the outfit with my drunken face. (See Below)

Tonight I am going to PowerPlant in downtown Baltimore, which has fancier
bars and clubs, then the ones by my school. I am thinking about dressing it
up a tad, but not over doing it. Gold American Apparel Lame skirt,
American Apparel black leotard, HUE black tights, and my Jessica Simpson
ankle booties, are in the lead for tonights outfit. If I'm feeling really crazy,
maybe I'll throw on a black blazer too? =)

I'll post back with pics tonight or tomorrow!

There are so many outfits this week at the tents that i would DIE for.

Phillip Lim is a genius, Anna Sui's collection was playful, Yigal Azrouël's collection was so structured, and Alexander Wang, well I really don't know what to say, the name pretty much says it all. This Fashion Week has been truly inspiring. Here is just a preview of why I am melting as we speak.... (P.S. I need those colored tights in the 3.1 Phillip Lim show!!!! Anyone know where I can find a pair that color?)

THIS..IS..SPARTA

I recently got a pair of Steve Madden Madalynn heels ($100),
which remind me so much of what a gladiator would wear.
Well, if this gladiator A. Wore Heels, and B. Were female.

They are SUPER comfy, and SUPER cute! I wore them recently with
a plain black t-shirt dress from American Apparel, and it completely
dressed up the outfit. I also got SO many compliments on them.

They have them here at Piperlime, and they also come in a fun brown color!!

Walk of Shame...

In the spirit of NYFW, I came upon a video on YouTube with a compilation of models falling on the runway.
It brought a smile to my face, and I hope it does to yours also! See models are real people too =)

inVESTed in...

Ack! Sorry about the no post yesterday! I had a busy Valentines Day with the boyfriend! Here are some pics of my gifts!

Well now that I got that out of the way...Spring is almost around the corner, (or so I like to convince myself), and I am REALLY into vests! I made a little set at Polyvore with some of my faves! Any of these would look adorable with a tank, skinny jeans, or even leggings!

Mi Amor

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. The day of Hallmark Cards, flowers, and stuffed animals. It is also an excuse to eat as much chocolate as you are given. This holiday is okay in my book!

I have become OBSESSED with Polyvore.com, which allows you to create outfits and put looks together. This site, is also way okay in my book! So in the spirit of the holiday, I created a "set" dedicated to it. Enjoy!

"We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, We hope You Will Enjoy the Show"-Beatles

So ever since the Grammy's last Sunday, I've had a wee obsession with Coldplay. Not just their music, but their "nod" to Sir Paul McCartney with their Sgt. Pepper like attire. Inspired by their inspiration, I found some pieces that I think fit well into this theme of dress up! Enjoy!

Saks is on the "A-List"

Saks opening page reads, "Editors A-list, Wear it like they wear it!"
The choices of closets to imitate are Brooke Shields, Rihanna, Agyness Deyn, Sarah Jessica Parker, Aneglia Jolie, & Taylor Momsen. While I must agree with many of the looks put together for each woman, something irks me about the picks for "little Jenny Humphrey."

While Momsen's raccoon-eyed punk chic ways, may have ran its course on Gossip Girl, (who says prayers don't get answered?) did she ever really dress like this in real life?

Of course you see her now and then, with a leather jacket and some grunge-esque boots, but the options Saks gives you to recreate Momsen's "personal style", I think falls short. Saks did add a nice touch though, with "taylor-ing" (pun intended), the models hair to the cut and semi-color of Momsen's. Maybe they thought if the model looked similar enough to the real thing, we'd believe she actually would wear these clothes, including this See by Chloé
Cotton Tuxedo Tank, & Cotton/Silk skirt. (First) And just because you throw a Proenza Schouler Cropped Leather Jacket (Second) on, does not mean Momsen would actually wear this.
Sorry Saks, but some of your A-list choices don't even "wear it like they wear it."

Moving on, I actually think the bigger question here, is how did they come to pick the people on this list in the first place? Now, after this blog post you may think I am a Jenny Humphrey hater, but this is simply not true, especially after last week's episode, no one deserves to be hated more then Dan, oh and the writers, for that "Eyes Wide Shut" plotline with Chuck.
However, TAYLOR MOMSEN? REALLY? Were there no better options?

If you could pick someone to replace Momsen who would it be?

"there’s a brand new day on the horizon everything’s gonna be just fine"-elvis

Sitting in my school's library everyday on breaks, in between my over-priced classes, I've found myself browsing through fashion blogs. Every one of them are so unique, and different, yet they all have the same purpose: a love of fashion.

I may not be able to afford those $760.00 YSL Suede Sandals, or the $1,750.00 Jimmy Choo Woven Bracelet Handbag, but that does not mean my love for fashion has been washed out.

I am not quite sure what I want to include in this blog as of yet. Pictures of stylish everyday people, (maybe not dressed to the nines to walk three blocks to pick up a newspaper), fashion news, and my sarcastic personality, could all be options. I am not a writer by all means, although I do write. I'll take it from this one and see where it goes. Wish me luck!
